We help SMBs spending up to €1M per year on cloud solve three challenges.

The bill keeps rising.

Hyperscalers were built to solve problems that no longer exist.

Server hardware became fast and reliable.

Solid-state NVMe drives, ECC memory, and high-speed networking turned dedicated bare metal into fast, dependable infrastructure.

Solid-state NVMe vs HDD4.8× fewer failures
Cluster networking (vs 1 Gbps)10–100 Gbps

Open-source software learned to self-heal.

When a drive or server does fail, Kubernetes and open-source operators fail over and replicate data across separate physical machines automatically.

So we remove the hyperscaler layers.

We run your product directly on dedicated EU servers with open source software, which cuts your bill, steadies performance, and takes the operational work off your team.

With the metered layers gone, you pay the same amount every month, at least 30% less than with a hyperscaler.

Your workloads run on a proven open-source platform, with no lock-in.

Every client runs on the same NixOS and Kubernetes architecture we have refined since 2015, on dedicated EU servers at providers like Hetzner and Worldstream. Because you are not sharing CPU caches, memory bandwidth, thermal headroom, or network paths with other tenants, response times drop and stay consistent, and you keep full admin access and the code for everything we deploy.

Application response time

Fewer companies handle your data.

Instead of sending data to separate vendors for databases, analytics, and monitoring, we run and maintain those services for you on your dedicated servers. They come off your subprocessor list without adding maintenance work to your team.

Hand your work to us.

You have a set number of engineering days per month with dedicated Lithus engineers who know your stack, rather than a support ticket queue. When your team wants something built, tuned, or changed, ask us in Slack or Teams and we will do it for you.

Requests from the business

Infrastructure you do not need to worry about.

  • No lock-in: built on standard open-source software, and you have full admin access.
  • A flat monthly price that you can plan around, at least 30% below hyperscaler costs.
  • Dedicated engineering days every month with engineers who do the work for you in Slack or Teams and are on-call 24/7.
  • Your data stays on dedicated servers in the EU, with fewer subprocessors.

We migrate you in three phases, and your current platform stays live until we are both confident.

We take responsibility for the migration, and we only start billing once your workloads run on the new platform.

Billing starts
Your current platform stays live throughout

1. Design together

We plan the hardware, setup, security, migration phases, and timeline closely with your engineering team. This usually takes 2–6 weeks, depending on your workloads and timeframes.

2. Build and migrate

We build your new platform and take responsibility for the migration, working with your engineers. Migration usually takes 2–6 weeks after the build.

3. Run it for you

Every month includes a set number of engineering days with dedicated engineers who know your stack. When you want something built, changed, or investigated, ask us in Slack or Teams and we will do it for you.

  • Upgrades and patching
  • Backups
  • 24/7 on-call with a 2-hour response time
  • Direct contact in Slack or Teams

The engineers who build your platform are the ones on-call.

We have run production infrastructure since 2007 and Kubernetes since version 1.0 in 2015. There is no account-manager buffer or ticket queue: you work directly with the engineers running your cluster, while keeping full root and Kubernetes admin access.

Common questions

Are we locked in to Lithus?+

No. You have full administrator access, the source code for the work we do on your behalf, and a platform built on widely used open source software that any capable team can run.

What if we grow past €1M per year in cloud spend?+

We can support you well beyond that. We generally do not take on initial migrations above €1M per year in existing cloud spend, because that is the size of migration we are comfortable taking on at once. Once you are running on Lithus, growing past that is straightforward: we add dedicated servers and capacity across European data centres as your workloads grow.

What happens if the migration goes wrong?+

We take on the risk of performing a successful migration. Your current infrastructure stays live until both of us are confident, and billing starts once your workloads run on the new platform.

Where is our data, and who can access it?+

Your data stays on dedicated servers in ISO 27001-certified EU data centres, run by our team, with Lithus's own ISO 27001 certification completing in Q1 2027. That leaves far fewer subprocessors to list in your customers' security reviews. See our privacy & subprocessors overview.

What happens to our own engineers?+

Your team keeps ownership of the application. We own the platform and are on-call for the services we deploy, and we work with your engineers directly in Slack or Teams.

What does support include?+

You have dedicated engineers who know your stack, a number of engineering days per month, and 24/7 on-call. Our standard response time is 2 hours, and a 99.95% availability SLA is available.

Will this work for a company like ours?+

Our clients include software platforms and connected-device (IoT) businesses. If you have a software team and spend €100k or more per year on cloud, we are likely to be a good fit. We look at your setup and your bills and tell you what we think, including when we think it will not work.

One flat monthly price, with engineering time included.

Our clients pay at least 30% less than they did with hyperscalers, and this includes our engineers' time. Deployments start from €5,000 per month, with your price guaranteed in your contract. Send us a recent cloud bill and we will calculate your exact quote at no cost.
